Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka headline Tuesday’s action as Wimbledon 2025 enters its high-stakes quarter-final stage at the All England Club.
Alcaraz vs. Norrie: Crowd Meets Charisma
Alcaraz, eyeing a historic third consecutive Wimbledon title, faces Britain’s Cameron Norrie in a highly anticipated clash. The Spaniard has had a challenging run, dropping four sets so far, but showed his best form against Russia’s Andrey Rublev in the last 16.
“Cameron will have the crowd on his side. I need to stay strong mentally to win,” said Alcaraz, who leads their head-to-head 4–2.
A win for Alcaraz would place him in an elite club with Borg, Sampras, Federer, and Djokovic as three-time consecutive Wimbledon champions in the Open Era.
Sabalenka Eyes Maiden Wimbledon Title
Top seed Aryna Sabalenka remains dominant, yet to drop a set at SW19. She now faces Laura Siegemund, the 104th-ranked German veteran, in pursuit of her first Wimbledon crown and fourth Grand Slam title overall.
Sabalenka acknowledged the crowd’s energy during her Round of 16 victory over Elise Mertens, and said, “We all dream of holding the trophy. I’ve come close before, and I’m hungry for it.”
