In a high-level review meeting held in Raipur, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah reiterated the central government’s commitment to completely eliminate Naxalism in India by March 31, 2026.

The meeting brought together top police officials and senior administrators from Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Odisha.

Shah commended Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma for reviving and accelerating anti-Naxal campaigns in the state. “The past one and a half years have seen renewed vigour in operations, which has significantly bolstered the morale of our security forces,” he noted.

He credited the ongoing success to coordinated intelligence efforts and strategic operations. “Our forces have acted with unwavering bravery and precision. We are fully confident of a Naxal-free India by the set deadline,” he emphasised.

In a sharp message to Naxal groups, Shah declared that security operations would persist even during the monsoon season, a period historically used by insurgents for rest. “This time, they won’t find peace. Operations will intensify.”

Appealing directly to disillusioned youth, Shah urged those involved in Naxalism to surrender and embrace mainstream society. He highlighted the Chhattisgarh government’s rehabilitation policies and promised full support to those who reintegrate peacefully. “Now is the best opportunity to become a part of Chhattisgarh’s development journey,” he affirmed.

He also assured that both central and state governments remain committed to honouring their promises and extending greater benefits to surrendered insurgents.
