Odisha opposition leader Naveen Patnaik has departed for Mumbai to undergo surgery for cervical arthritis.

His procedure is scheduled for June 22 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital under the supervision of his personal physician, Dr. Ramakanta Panda.

Before his departure, a large crowd of BJD leaders and party workers gathered outside Naveen Nivas to express their support. Many offered prayers for his speedy recovery and the success of the surgery. BJD women leaders performed puja ceremonies to invoke divine blessings for their beloved leader.

Naveen took to social media to inform the public of his medical travel, stating, “On doctors’ advice, I will undergo treatment for cervical arthritis on June 22 in Mumbai. With blessings from Lord Jagannath and good wishes from the people of Odisha, I will soon be back to serve you all.”

In his absence, senior party leader Debi Mishra will temporarily handle party responsibilities.
