The Special Task Force (STF), Bhubaneswar, seized 335 grams of heroin near Hi-Tech-Bankual Road under Badagada Police Station on Wednesday and arrested the peddler.
The accused has been identified as Prakash Sethi (31), alias Papu, a resident of Turumunga, Keonjhar district.
Acting on intelligence input, the team from the Special Task Force (STF) successfully conducted a raid and busted the drug racket.
During the search, the STF seized 335 grams of brown sugar (heroin) along with other incriminating materials. The accused failed to produce any valid authorisation for the possession of the contraband, prompting his arrest. He will be presented before the District Judge cum Special Judge, Khurda at Bhubaneswar.
The case has been registered under STF PS Case No. 11 dated 6 May 2025, U/s 21(c) of the NDPS Act 1985, and further investigations are underway.
