Rajasthan Royals (RR) wrapped up their IPL 2025 campaign in style, defeating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by six wickets in Match 62.
Chasing 188 runs in just 17.1 overs, RR displayed dominance, led by 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who played a fearless knock of 57 off 33 balls.
The match began with CSK being put to bat after RR’s Sanju Samson won the toss. Early wickets troubled CSK, but key contributions from Ayush Mhatre (43 off 20) and Dewald Brevis (42 off 25) gave them some momentum.
However, RR’s disciplined bowling attack—led by Akash Madhwal (3/29) and Yudhvir Singh Charak (3/33)—prevented CSK from posting an imposing total, restricting them to 187/8 in 20 overs.
In response, RR’s chase was powered by an explosive opening stand from Yashasvi Jaiswal (36 off 19). Soon after, Suryavanshi and Samson built a crucial 98-run partnership, ensuring RR remained ahead in the game.
