Sambalpur: Police arrested two persons on the charges of smuggling ganja near Salesingh village in Sambalpur district on Friday.
The accused have been identified as Manglu Behera (23) and Tunu Nayak (23) from Kusuni village of Angul district.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid and arrested the duo while they were heading towards Rairakhol. The cops also seized 5 kg of ganja and a bike which was being used in smuggling.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that cannabis was been smuggled to Maharashtra by bus. A case (20/2021) has been registered against the accused persons and they will be forwarded to court today, police informed.
