Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy adjourned the House till noon as Opposition members created a ruckus over various issues.
The Assembly descended into chaos as Congress and BJD members clashed.
Congress members protested against rising lawlessness in the state, while BJD members demanded justice for farmers and criticized the government’s handling of the paddy procurement issue.
The Opposition accused the state government of failing to control the law and order situation, leading to increased crime. Despite the Speaker’s attempts to restore order, the ruckus continued, and the House was adjourned till noon.
