Competitive exams for prestigious positions conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) and Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) recently faced major setbacks due to errors in their question papers.

Candidates appearing for the Odisha Civil Services Main Exam 2023 discovered Anthropology Paper-II questions mistakenly included in Paper-I. The OPSC acknowledged the blunder but went ahead with the examination. A decision regarding Paper-II questions is yet to be made.

Similarly, in the OSSC Combined Recruitment Main Exam, important syllabus portions like English, Odia Literature, and General Knowledge were completely omitted. The OSSC expressed regret and hinted at conducting fresh exams. They urged candidates to share their suggestions via email by May 4.

The anomalies have left candidates questioning the credibility of these examinations and demanding corrective measures.
