New Delhi: India witnessed a spike of 18,855 fresh cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19). The country’s tally went up to 1,07,20,048.
The death toll rose to 1,54,010 with 163 new fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry. The recovery rate dropped to 96.94 per cent from 97 per cent yesterday. Â With 20,746 patients being discharged in a span of 24 hours, the total Covid-19 recoveries have surged to 1,03,94,352.
India’s total number of active cases has dropped to 1,71,686 and now consists of just 1.62 per cent of the total cases.
