Ganjam: A disabled person was allegedly murdered by his father over sharing of ration at Kalamba village under Polasara police limits in Ganjam district.
The deceased was identified as Anil Pradhan. Meanwhile, the accused father, Balaram Pradhan, has been detained.
According to sources, the relationship between the father and son turned bitter after the father refused to share the quota of rice with his son following which Anil started staying separately with his wife.
Reportedly, the duo had a heated argument over the matter. Fumed over the same, Balaram thrashed Anil with a wooden plank.
Though Anil was rushed to the nearest hospital, he was declared “brought dead”.
On being informed, police reached the spot and detained the accused for interrogation.
