Mayurbhanj: It seems there is no end to the human-animal conflict as such incidents have been reported time and again from several parts of Odisha.
In the latest incident, a herd of pachyderms strayed into villages under Karanjia forest division.
According to sources, the elephants have been straying into the human settlement and wreaking havoc in these areas.
The elephant herd reportedly damaged houses and injured a man here.
On being informed, forest department officials rushed to the spot and launched an operation to drive the elephants into the forest.
Forest department officials are expected to keep track of the movement of the elephants.
