Jitan Ram Manjhi, the Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), visited two key industrial facilities in Bhubaneswar today—the Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC) and the Pharmaceutical Cluster (CFC) in Mancheswar Industrial Estate.

His visit underscores the government’s commitment to supporting technological and pharmaceutical advancements that bolster MSMEs in India.

During the tour of CTTC Bhubaneswar, regarded as the leading technology center under the MSME Ministry, Shri Manjhi examined the facility’s contributions to India’s aerospace sector, including manufacturing crucial components for ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission, ADA’s LCA-Tejas project, and the upcoming Gaganyaan Mission. With prestigious clients such as ISRO, DRDO, and TATA Motors, the CTTC continues to play a pivotal role in India’s space and defense advancements.

The Minister then visited the Pharmaceutical Cluster (CFC), established under the MSE-CDP Scheme and supported by the Government of Odisha. The CFC, managed by the Utkal Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (UPMA), serves MSMEs in the pharmaceutical sector by providing advanced testing, quality assurance, research, training, and regulatory support. Shri Manjhi praised the CFC’s efforts in strengthening the pharmaceutical manufacturing base in Odisha, improving local MSMEs’ export readiness, and reducing dependency on external testing laboratories.

Expressing his appreciation for the talent and innovation he witnessed, Shri Manjhi emphasized the importance of fostering MSME-led technological progress across sectors. The visit highlights the government’s ongoing dedication to empowering MSMEs, advancing industrial capabilities, and driving economic growth in Odisha.
