Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced new National Highway (NH) projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore.
The initiative includes the foundation stone laying and inauguration of 19 road projects spanning 154 km, aimed at strengthening connectivity across key districts.
The projects will significantly improve transportation networks in regions like Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Kandhamal, and Nayagarh. Enhanced roadways will facilitate economic progress and regional accessibility, marking a pivotal moment in Odisha’s development.
Speaking at the inauguration event, Gadkari emphasised the government’s commitment to modernising highway infrastructure, stating that these projects would pave the way for better mobility, trade expansion, and economic growth. Local stakeholders and officials hailed the initiative as a landmark achievement in the state’s transport sector.
With improved road connectivity, Odisha is set to witness a surge in industrial investments and tourism, driving overall growth and prosperity.
