The Khelo India University Games 2021 jointly organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is held at Jain University, Bangalore from 24th April – to 2nd May 2022.
In the final day of the Weightlifting event today, KIIT Women’s Team bagged the Championship Trophy as the Best Team in the Weightlifting Women’s event. The team comprises of Sneha Soren (Gold Medal in 49 kg Category), Moti Jani (Silver Medal in 59 kg Category), Ranjita Majhi (4th Position in 49 kg Category), Abhishiktha Kaduluri (4th position in 81 kg Category), Aparajita Bhuyan (5th Position in 59 kg Category) & M Keerthi (5th Position in 76 kg Category) as players and Lucky Rani Patra (Coach) & Subhakanta Mallia (Manager) as officials.
Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder KIIT & KISS & Member of Parliament Kandhamal congratulated the teams for the championship trophy and conveyed his best wishes for the upcoming matches.
