Ganjam has emerged as one of the hardest-hit regions, bearing the heavy brunt of torrential rains and subsequent overflowing water bodies following the cyclone’s passage. The newly sanctioned funds are intended to immediately bolster ongoing rescue operations, expand relief distribution networks, and support rapid recovery efforts in the affected localities.
Confirming the development through an official social media update, the SRC highlighted that the priority remains swift and effective management of the disaster zone. Local administration and deployed disaster response units are utilising the resources to restore normalcy, clear blocked routes, provide essential commodities, and offer medical assistance to displaced and affected populations across the district.
