In alignment with the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), the General Administration and Public Grievance (GA & PG) Department of Odisha commenced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week today with a solemn oath-taking ceremony.

The week-long campaign, running from October 26 to November 1, 2026, is being observed nationwide under this year’s theme, “Prosperity through Integrity.”

At a special gathering held at the Lok Seva Bhawan, Chief Secretary Anu Garg administered the “Oath of Integrity” to the department’s officials and employees. The ceremony underscored the state administration’s commitment to fostering a corruption-free framework and ensuring ethical governance.

During the pledge, the staff committed to upholding the highest standards of honesty, vigilance, and integrity in all facets of their lives. They swore to strictly adhere to the rule of law, unequivocally refuse to offer or accept bribes, and execute their official responsibilities with utmost accountability and transparency. The pledge further emphasized prioritizing public welfare and maintaining exemplary personal conduct to set a benchmark in public service.

The event witnessed the presence of Suresh Kumar Vashishth, Principal Secretary of the GA & PG Department, along with senior officers and personnel from various branches of the department.
