Chasing 158, skipper Rohit Sharma (40), Ishan Kishan (35) and Suryakumar Yadav (34*) took India over the line with 43 balls to spare in the first T20I after Ravi Bishnoi struck an impressive spell of 4-0-17-2 on his debut.
Rohit & co. will be looking to wrap up yet another series after sweeping the three-match ODI series as well against their opponents.
“Guys do understand what the team wants and all these guys are professionals and they do understand that team comes first. Once everyone is available it’s something we need to sit down and understand. Lots of things to take into consideration and sometimes it can be very tough on the guys missing out, but we want to make sure that we give out a clear message with guys performing needs to get that run and we want to put the team first,” Rohit said in the presentation after the first T20I.
Jason Holder is set to make his return to the side after sitting out the first T20I due to a niggle.
