Odisha has taken a groundbreaking step in dairy development by introducing an on-call Artificial Insemination (AI) service for farmers.

The Fisheries and Animal Resources Development (F&ARD) Department has urged dairy farmers and cow-keepers to utilize the toll-free number 155333 to book AI services conveniently from their homes.

Currently operational in ten districts, this service ensures seamless breeding assistance through an OTP-based verification system, allowing AI workers to provide timely insemination services. Odisha is the first state in India to implement this innovative system, marking a significant leap in modernizing dairy farming.

On-Call Artificial Insemination Odisha

During the recently concluded state-level Fisheries and ARD fair Matsya-Pranee Samavesh Odisha (MPSO)-2025, ten AI workers were recognized for their excellence in service across the operational districts. Plans are underway to extend this program across the entire state, further enhancing milk production and improving breeding efficiency.

The Odisha government’s commitment to technological advancements in the dairy sector continues to strengthen the livelihood of dairy farmers while ensuring increased milk production.
