Bhubaneswar: Schools, colleges, and coaching institutes across Odisha reopened today amid adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
Besides, short-term training and skill development training under various departments also opened today. Similarly, the hostels attached to these educational institutions has been reopend.
The institutions had been closed since January 7 following a surge in Covid-19 cases during the current wave of the pandemic.
The School and Mass Education department had issued instructions to educational institutions to focus on both online and offline mode of studies even after reopening of schools, while authorities will need to frame a teaching action plan on the basis of students’ access to mode of learning at school level.
Apart from different times for different classes, no cooked meals will be given to students. Instead, as part of the Midday meal programme, students will be distributed dry ration.
