A 6-foot-long crocodile was rescued from a household pond in Endulapur village under Rajnagar block in Kendrapara district.
According to forest officials, the reptile measured approximately 6 feet 3 inches in length.
The crocodile is believed to have ventured into the pond due to rising floodwaters from nearby water bodies. Villagers alerted authorities after spotting the animal, prompting swift action from the Forest Department.
The rescue operation was successfully carried out by the Forest Department team, ensuring the safety of both residents and the displaced crocodile. The animal was later relocated to a secure habitat.
