Pakistan launched a massive drone attack on multiple cities in India on the night of May 8, deploying around 500 small drones across Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
The Indian military swiftly intercepted the offensive using advanced air defence systems, including the L70, ZU-23, Schilka, and Akash missiles.
This strike followed India’s Operation Sindoor, carried out in the early hours of May 7, which targeted terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. India emphasised that its operation focused solely on terror infrastructure and avoided military targets. Pakistan retaliated by attempting to strike military sites in Jammu and Pathankot.
The situation remains fluid, with diplomatic tensions rising and further developments expected as India and Pakistan assess their next moves.
