30 Injured as Truck Collides with Bus in Cuttack

Bus En Route from Athgarh to Cuttack Involved in Major Accident

A tragic road accident occurred near Chhatabar Chowk on the Athagarh-Mundali Road, involving a bus and a truck in a head-on collision.


The bus, traveling from Athagarh to Cuttack, was carrying passengers heading to an event. As a result, over 30 passengers sustained injuries, with more than 10 reported to be in critical condition.

All injured passengers were immediately shifted to Athagarh Medical for treatment. Quick action was taken by Athagarh Police and the Fire Department personnel, who worked tirelessly to rescue the victims. Preliminary investigations reveal that the passengers onboard are residents of the Samasarpur Panchayat under Athagarh Police jurisdiction.

Police are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the collision. The tragic event raises concerns about road safety in the area, and authorities are expected to address these issues to prevent future accidents.
