Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has declared that the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme will be rolled out across the state within the next two weeks.
With this initiative, over 3.52 crore residents of Odisha will gain access to cashless medical treatment at more than 29,000 hospitals across the country. The scheme aims to reduce the financial burden on families during medical emergencies, particularly benefiting economically weaker sections and rural communities.
The CM revealed the ambitious plan during a special event in Satyabhamapur, emphasizing the transformative impact it would have on Odisha’s healthcare system. By enabling beneficiaries to seek treatment in reputed hospitals both within and outside the state, Ayushman Bharat will bridge gaps in healthcare accessibility and quality.
Healthcare experts and citizens alike have lauded this announcement, marking it as a major leap forward for Odisha’s medical infrastructure. The government is working closely with healthcare providers to ensure the scheme’s smooth implementation.
