In response to India’s recent missile strikes on nine terror infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), authorities in Srinagar have swiftly set up central control rooms across ten districts of Kashmir.
The move aims to monitor developments, streamline coordination among departments, and ensure real-time grievance redressal for residents.
A Joint Control Room has been established at the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) under the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in Srinagar. Officials confirm that these control rooms will operate 24/7, serving as key communication hubs for emergency services and public assistance.
Additionally, the Jammu and Kashmir government has imposed restrictions on employee leave approvals, permitting exceptions only in extraordinary circumstances. Authorities emphasise the importance of operational efficiency during this period of heightened tensions.
Residents are encouraged to utilise the control rooms to report concerns and receive timely updates regarding the evolving situation.
