The Revenue and Disaster Management Department has issued appointments for 238 Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) probationary officers, deploying them across various districts in key administrative positions following the successful completion of their training programs.
In a notification released on Monday, the department detailed the postings, which include roles such as Deputy Collector, Tehsildar, and other significant designations. These officers, who were previously serving as Training Reserve Officers in different districts, will now take up their substantive assignments to contribute to district-level governance and public administration.
Among the notable appointments, Smt. Mahapatra has been posted as Deputy Collector in Bhadrak district. Similarly, Pinky Parbina Parida has been assigned as Tehsildar in Jagatsinghpur, while Prajna Paramita Bhuyan and Ajad Kumar Sahu have both been appointed as Deputy Collectors in Subarnapur district.
This batch of appointments is expected to strengthen administrative capabilities in Odisha’s districts, particularly in revenue management and disaster preparedness, as the state gears up for upcoming developmental and seasonal challenges. Officials from the department emphasized that the rigorous training undertaken by these officers equips them to handle complex responsibilities effectively from day one.
