Cuttack: An orientation meeting for the High School Transformation (HST) Program under the 5T initiative was held under the chairmanship of CMC Commissioner Nikhil Pavan Kalyan and in presence of Deputy Commissioner Sanjibita Ray, and concerned officials on Tuesday in the conference hall of Cuttack Municipal Corporation.
Mr Kalyan discussed about the execution and implementation of the 5T HST recommended plan in this program. Meanwhile, he spoke with the Stakeholders and Head Teachers of 42 schools that were proposed in various phases and discussed with them the engagement and needs of the Women Self Help Group (WSHG), the financial situation, the need for books for the library, and various working pieces of infrastructure equipment and also reviewed on the work of first and second phase of the 5T HST Program.
For the third phase of the project 5T-HST, 20 High Schools in Cuttack city were selected, and there is a provision of a budget of 45 lakhs for each school, on which an alluring change will come for the students in the field of information gathering and sharing with the aid of modern technology as part of this project.
In addition, these proposed schools will provide pupils with a variety of amenities such as a Smart Classroom, ICT Lab, E-Library, and Laboratory in a clean environment with water and sanitation.
