The Odisha Home Department has issued a notification announcing the transfer of 18 senior police officers to new positions across the state.
The notification lists the names of the officers along with their previous postings and new assignments. Among the key changes, Sampat Kumar Dash, previously DSP, CID CB, Cuttack, will now serve as Additional SP CID CB.
Similarly, Bibhuti Bhusan Mahapatra transitions from ACP, Commissionerate of Police, to Additional SP, IUCAW Kandhamal.
In the same vein, Subrat Kumar has been reassigned from ACP, Commissionerate of Police to Additional DCP within the Commissionerate of Police. Additionally, officers like Ambit Mohanty and Ms. Upasana Padhi are set to bring their expertise to IUCAW Koraput and DIB Angul, respectively.
Vishnu Prasad Pati, Additional SP, Puri, has been the role as Administrator, Security, Shri Jagannath Temple, Puri.
Sachin Patel, SDPO, Malkangiri, has been transferred and posted as Additional SP, Puri.
This reshuffle reflects the Odisha government’s proactive approach to maintaining law and order while strengthening police administration throughout the state.
