Rayagada: Police seized 179 kg ganja in Danga Sorada village under Muniguda police station in Rayagada district and arrested two persons in this connection.
The accused have been identified as Uday Singh (49) of Muzaffarnagar and Ankit Kumar (24), informed Muniguda SDPO Santoshini Oram and Police IIC Saudamini Behera.
Rs 11,050 in cash and a phone were seized from the peddlers. Police said they were trying to smuggle the ganja to Muzaffarnagar. It is learnt that Chandrapur Additional Tehsildar was present in this incident as the Chief Magistrate.
