A youth from Khurda district, missing for 17 days, was discovered unconscious under mysterious circumstances at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
The boy, identified as Satyajit Das of Gandhipadia, is a Plus Three second-year student at a college in Madanpur.
Reports confirm that Satyajit travelled to Bhubaneswar on November 1 to attend a female friend’s birthday party at a café near SUM Hospital. He joined several colleagues at the celebration but suddenly went missing. His family filed a complaint with Bharatpur police, which immediately launched an investigation.
Family members alleged that miscreants may have held him hostage in a loot attempt or ransom plot. Speculation also suggests that he could have been drugged and abducted. Police sources revealed that CCTV footage last captured him on Chandaka Road.
Satyajit’s condition remains critical. Officials stated that the exact sequence of events will only become clear once he regains consciousness and provides his account.
