Bhubaneswar: Nayapalli police arrested a youth on the theft charges in the state capital city Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
The accused ha been identified as Chagulu Sandil (20), of IRC village of Nayapalli area.
According to reports, locals caught the accused red-handed while he was stealing the equipment that was kept for the pipeline construction work near N3 park in the IRC village area.
However, the associate of the accused managed to escape from the spot. Thereafter the locals handed over him to the police.
Following the police registered a case (287/22) under the relevant section of the IPC and forwarded him to the court. The cops have also recovered several stolen articles from him.
