A young girl attempted self-immolation in Bhetanai village under Kotinada police station limits in Ganjam district.
The girl poured kerosene over her body and set herself on fire in the shocking incident. Her family members noticed the flames immediately and rescued her before the situation worsened.
They first took her to Aska Hospital, where doctors assessed her critical condition. Medical staff then shifted her to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur for advanced treatment.
