Competing in the Under-19 Indian round category, Khirod’s focus and precision helped him shine. He has also secured five gold medals at the National School Archery Championship and has received structured coaching for the past three years.
Pranab Kumar Bhattacharyya, CEO of Vedanta Alumina Business, stated, “Khirod’s achievements highlight the impact of our grassroots sports initiatives. We are committed to empowering rural youth through sports and fostering their talents.”
Since its launch in 2018, Vedanta’s initiative has trained over 100 young archers, who collectively won 40 medals at state and national championships in the past year.
