The Women’s Premier League (WPL) will return for its fourth edition from January 9 to February 5, 2026.
DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara have been confirmed as the two host venues. The season will culminate with the grand final on February 5, promising another month of elite women’s T20 cricket across India.
The inaugural season in 2023, played exclusively in Mumbai, saw Harmanpreet Kaur’s Mumbai Indians (MI) defeat Meg Lanning’s Delhi Capitals (DC) in the final to lift the trophy. In 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), led by Smriti Mandhana, claimed the title in Bengaluru and Delhi, while DC finished runner-up once again.
Last year, the Mumbai Indians defeated the Delhi Capitals for their second championship. The 2025 season expanded to four cities — Vadodara, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai — marking a significant milestone for the league.
Each team played the other sides twice in the league phase. The top-ranked team advanced directly to the final, while the second and third-placed teams contested the Eliminator for the remaining spot. This format will continue in 2026, ensuring competitive balance and high-stakes matches throughout the season.
Fans eagerly await the fourth edition, which promises thrilling contests and star performances. With Navi Mumbai and Vadodara hosting, the WPL continues to expand its footprint while showcasing the best of women’s cricket.
