London: The round of 16 in the women’s singles tournament at Wimbledon 2024 has concluded today.
Surprisingly, only two players from the top 10 of the world rankings have reached the quarter-finals: Elena Rybakina (No. 4 WTA) and Jasmine Paolini (No. 7 WTA).
The biggest shock is the advancement of New Zealand’s Lulu Sun, who is ranked only 123rd in the world, to the quarter-finals.
– Elena Rybakina vs Elina Svitolina
– Lulu Sun vs Donna Vekic
– Jasmine Paolini vs Emma Navarro
– Jelena Ostapenko vs Barbora Krejcikova
