Seoul: South Korean singer/actress Park Soo Young’s (Lizzy’s) first hearing regarding her DUI case was held at Seoul Central District Court.
During the first hearing, the prosecution requested the court to sentence Park Soo Young to one year in prison for driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.197%. She admitted her wrongdoings and commented, “It was a wrong decision at the moment. I promise not to do anything disgraceful again.”
On May 19, Park Soo Young was booked without detention for drunk driving after she ran into a taxi while driving in the neighborhood of Cheongdam in Seoul’s Gangnam district on May 18 at 10 p.m. KST. Her blood alcohol level at the time was over 0.08 percent, which is enough to have her driver’s license revoked.
Prior to the trial, Lizzy made a heartfelt apology for the incident during her Instagram live broadcast.
