A joyous wedding celebration turned chaotic when a violent clash broke out between two groups in Chandipitha village, Ganjam district, resulting in three individuals being stabbed.
The incident occurred around 10 pm on Friday night as the wedding procession was making its way to the mandap.
Witnesses reported that the altercation involved youths from Bikrampur village, who had been invited to the wedding. The two groups, harboring pre-existing animosities, engaged in a fierce confrontation. The situation escalated when one faction attacked the other with concealed knives, leading to serious injuries for three participants.
The injured individuals were quickly transported to the Khalikote Community Health Center, where they are receiving medical treatment. Authorities are investigating the incident as a pre-planned knife attack and are working to determine the precise circumstances that led to the violence.
