The much-anticipated action thriller War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, is set to release on August 14 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. The film’s advance bookings have seen a dramatic surge, especially after Telugu shows were made available.
Initially, War 2 was selling around 2,500 tickets per hour for the Hindi version. However, after bookings opened in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ticket sales skyrocketed to 25,000 per hour, marking a tenfold jump. Screenshots of the surge have gone viral on social media.
Before Telugu bookings, the Hindi version had already earned around Rs 10 crore gross for the opening day with block seats included. After Telugu bookings went live, platforms like BookMyShow recorded over 20,000 ticket sales per hour.
Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as super spy Kabir in War 2, a sequel to the 2019 hit War. The film also stars Jr NTR and Ashutosh Rana and is part of Yash Raj Films’ expansive Spy Universe, which includes Salman Khan’s Tiger series, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming Alpha.
