New Delhi: Vivo Y52 5G (2022) has been launched in Taiwan as the company’s latest model in its Y-series lineup. It comes in two different colour options, the new Vivo smartphone features a waterdrop-style notch display and has MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood. The Vivo Y52 5G (2022) has the same design and specifications as the Vivo Y52 5G that made its way to the European market in May last year. Other key highlights of the new phone include 48-megapixel triple rear cameras, a 5,000mAh battery, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage.

The Vivo Y52 5G (2022) costs TWD 7,990 (~$250) in Taiwan. It comes in Dark Night and Glacier Blue colors. It is unclear whether Vivo will be releasing the smartphone in other markets.

The Vivo Y52 5G (2022) has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD panel with a teardrop notch. It has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a 96 percent NTSC color gamut. The device’s screen-to-body ratio is 90.6 percent. The fingerprint scanner is built into the power button on the right side of the phone.
On the front, the Vivo Y52 5G (2022) has an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The rear shell of the phone features a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and an LED flash. The phone runs on the Android 12 OS, which is overlaid with the FunTouch OS 12 UI.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y52 5G (2022) has the Dimensity 700 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. The device comes with 128 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for additional storage. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging.
The handset offers other features such as dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 163.95 x 75.3 x 8.5mm and weighs around 193 grams.
