Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan arrived in the city on Friday and was warmly received by Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Following his arrival, the Vice-President is scheduled to visit Cuttack later in the day to participate in Parakram Divas, which is being observed to mark the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Parakram Divas is celebrated across the country to honour the courage, leadership, and legacy of Netaji, one of India’s most revered freedom fighters. The Vice-President’s participation in the event underscores the national significance of the occasion.
Adequate administrative and security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the Vice-President’s visit and the commemorative programme.
In view of the Vice President’s visit, security arrangements have been significantly tightened across the Twin Cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Police personnel have been deployed at key locations, and traffic management measures are in place to ensure smooth movement and public safety during the visit.
The visit is being closely coordinated by the state administration to ensure adherence to protocol and security requirements.
