The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024.
A total of 1,009 candidates have been recommended for appointment across prestigious services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services (Group A & B).
Among the top-ranked candidates, Ms. Shakti Dubey secured Rank 1, followed by Ms. Harshita Goyal (Rank 2), Sh. Dongre Archit Parag (Rank 3), Ms. Shah Margi Chirag (Rank 4), and Sh. Aakash Garg (Rank 5). The presence of three women in the top five marks an encouraging trend for gender diversity in the civil services.
Breakdown of Selected Candidates
- General: 335 candidates
- EWS: 109 candidates
- OBC: 318 candidates
- SC: 160 candidates
- ST: 87 candidates
Additionally, the UPSC has maintained a reserve list of 230 candidates.

- Over 9,92,599 aspirants applied for the preliminary exam.
- 5,83,213 candidates appeared.
- 14,627 qualified for the main exam.
- 2,845 proceeded to the Personality Test.
Special Achievements
The UPSC 2024 selection also includes 45 candidates from the Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) category. The results and individual marks will be available on the UPSC official website within 15 days.
