UPSC Declares Indian Forest Service 2024 Final Results – 143 Candidates Recommended!

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results for the Indian Forest Service Examination 2024, held from November 24 to December 1, 2024.


Following the written exams and the personality test interviews conducted from April 21 to May 2, 2025, a total of 143 candidates have been recommended for appointment to posts in the Indian Forest Service.

Category-Wise Breakdown of Selected Candidates

The merit list includes candidates across various categories:

  • General: 40 (including 4 PwBD candidates)
  • EWS: 19
  • OBC: 50 (including 1 PwBD candidate)
  • SC: 23
  • ST: 11

However, two vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) have been carried forward due to the unavailability of qualified candidates.

Appointment Details and Provisional Candidates

The Government has reported a total of 150 vacancies for this recruitment cycle, including nine reserved for PwBD candidates. The appointment process will commence following verification of eligibility requirements. Additionally, the candidature of 51 recommended candidates remains provisional.

UPSC has provided a Facilitation Counter at its campus for candidates to obtain examination-related clarifications. Aspirants can also check the official website for further updates, including individual marks within 15 days of the result publication.
