In an exhilarating encounter at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, the UP Warriorz clinched a thrilling victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 12 runs in Match 18 of the Women’s Premier League 2025.

Batting first, the UP Warriorz posted a formidable total of 225/5 in their 20 overs, thanks to an outstanding performance by Georgia Voll. Voll, who was named Player of the Match, showcased her batting prowess by scoring an unbeaten 99 runs off just 56 balls. Contributions from other batters, including Kiran Navgire’s explosive 46 off 16 balls and Grace Harris’s quickfire start, ensured the Warriorz set a challenging target for their opponents.

In response, Royal Challengers Bengaluru gave a spirited chase but ultimately fell short, managing 213 runs in 19.3 overs. Richa Ghosh led the charge for the Challengers with a blistering 69 off 33 balls, including six fours and five sixes. However, the Warriorz bowlers held their nerve, with Sophie Ecclestone (3/25) and Deepti Sharma (3/50) playing crucial roles in restricting the opposition.

The match witnessed several standout moments, including Uma Chetry’s stunning one-handed catch and Sneh Rana’s late-order fireworks. Despite valiant efforts from the Challengers, the UP Warriorz emerged victorious, solidifying their position in the tournament standings.
