One of the UK’s most prestigious educational institutions, Shrewsbury School, is set to open its first Indian campus in Bhopal.
The co-educational boarding school will welcome students aged 11 to 18 and follow the globally recognised Cambridge IGCSE and A Levels curriculum.
Admissions for the upcoming academic year will commence in August 2025, offering students the opportunity to study IGCSEs in Grades 9 and 10 and A Levels in Grades 11 and 12—qualifications accepted by top universities worldwide.
Spanning 150 acres, the new campus will feature state-of-the-art amenities, including academic blocks, pupil boarding houses, an indoor sports complex, an amphitheatre, an aquatic centre, arts spaces, medical facilities, and multi-cuisine dining options. The institution will also provide residential accommodations for faculty and support staff to create a fully immersive learning environment.
The school aims to uphold Shrewsbury’s core values, emphasising independent learning, critical thinking, and strong community engagement. A spokesperson from the institution stated, “Pupils will be expected to adhere strictly to codes of behaviour, discipline, and self-discipline, fostering a culture of deep thinking and independent thought.”
With rising interest in international education within India, the launch of Shrewsbury School in Bhopal offers students a prestigious option that aligns with global academic standards while maintaining a holistic approach to learning.
