In a significant move to improve long-distance rail connectivity and passenger convenience between Odisha and Gujarat, the Ministry of Railways has greenlit the upgrade of Train No. 19021/19022 Udhna–Brahmapur–Udhna Amrit Bharat Express from its current tri-weekly schedule to daily operations.
This enhancement is poised to benefit thousands of commuters traveling between these two states and the regions along the route, offering more frequent and reliable options for work, family visits, and business trips. The Amrit Bharat Express, known for its affordable fares and modern amenities, has been a popular choice since its inception, and the increased frequency addresses growing demand for seamless inter-state travel.
The decision underscores the commitment of the Hon’ble Minister of Railways to bolster India’s railway network, ensuring better accessibility and efficiency for passengers nationwide. Officials from the East Coast Railway zone highlighted that this upgrade will not only reduce waiting times but also contribute to economic ties between Odisha and Gujarat by facilitating easier movement of people and goods.
The new daily service is expected to commence from an early convenient date, with official notifications to be issued soon. Passengers are advised to check the Indian Railways website or app for updates on timings and bookings.
