Security forces successfully eliminated two terrorists in Singhpora Chatroo, Kishtwar, on Thursday morning.
The encounter erupted as a group of three to four militants found themselves trapped, prompting a heavy exchange of fire. Authorities have cordoned off the area, urging civilians to remain indoors as efforts continue to neutralise the remaining threats.
Dubbed ‘Operation Trashi,’ the mission witnessed a swift deployment of additional troops. The Army’s White Knight Corps confirmed the ongoing efforts, reinforcing heightened security across the region following recent militant activity.
This marks the latest in a series of counterterrorism operations in South Kashmir, with forces intensifying efforts after last month’s deadly Pahalgam terror attack.
