In a horrifying incident that has sent shockwaves through Bhutuda village in Lahunipada of Sundargarh district, two minor girls—aged four and six—were brutally attacked, leaving them critically injured.

According to reports, both victims suffered deep head injuries and were immediately rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment. Due to the severity of their condition, they have been referred to Rourkela for specialised care.

Authorities suspect the attack was motivated by previous enmity, though investigations are ongoing to confirm the exact cause.

Eyewitnesses claim that two women and a man are involved in the attack. Their identities remain unconfirmed, but preliminary evidence suggests a deliberate act of violence.

Lahunipada Police have launched an in-depth investigation, gathering witness testimonies and inspecting the crime scene for crucial evidence.

While the village remains gripped in shock and fear, locals are demanding swift action against the perpetrators. Law enforcement officials have assured a thorough probe into the matter and urged residents to assist with relevant information.

Further updates will follow as more details emerge.
