US President Donald Trump has condemned the brutal killing of Chandra Mouli “Bob” Nagamallaiah, an Indian-origin motel manager who was beheaded in Dallas, Texas, last week.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump called Nagamallaiah a “well-respected person” and described the killing as “terrible.” He said the accused, Yordanis Cobos-Martinez — an undocumented migrant from Cuba — “should have never been in our country.”
Trump criticised the Biden administration for allowing Cobos-Martinez to remain in the US despite a prior criminal record, which included charges of child sex abuse, grand theft auto, and false imprisonment. “This individual was released under incompetent Joe Biden because Cuba did not want such an evil person in their country,” Trump wrote.
Declaring that “the time for being soft on these illegal immigrant criminals is over,” Trump praised Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Border Czar Tom Homan for their efforts to strengthen national security. He assured that Cobos-Martinez, who is currently in custody, will face first-degree murder charges and be “prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
