US President Donald Trump has ruled out any negotiations with Iran, insisting that only “unconditional surrender” will pave the way for peace.
Trump’s declaration follows coordinated US–Israel strikes against Iranian targets, which triggered retaliatory missile and drone attacks across the region.

The statement, posted on Trump’s Truth Social account, has heightened fears of a broader regional war. Trump asserted that Tehran must capitulate before any diplomatic pathway can emerge. He added that once Iran surrenders and selects leadership acceptable to Washington and its allies, the US would help revive Iran’s economy and “bring it back from the brink of destruction.”
Analysts warn that the uncompromising stance could destabilise the Middle East further, with ripple effects on global oil prices and regional alliances.
The escalating confrontation underscores the fragile balance of power in the region and the risks of a widening conflict.
