The trial run of the Dhadi Darshan (queue-based darshan) at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri is scheduled to begin on January 20.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) is preparing to implement this new system to facilitate a hassle-free experience for visitors wishing to see the Trinity.
Under the new system, dedicated lines will be established for men, women, and elderly individuals, allowing for organized entry into the temple’s sanctum and sanctorum.
Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan highlighted the challenges faced by visitors, stating, “Many visitors experience difficulties entering the temple and often leave without having darshan of Lord Jagannath. During significant occasions and rituals, stampede-like situations frequently arise in and around the temple premises.”
Harichandan added that the Dhadi Darshan aims to be a comprehensive solution to these long-standing problems.
