New Delhi: A healthy whole wheat crust that comes out soft and chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside. Use with your favourite pizza toppings or pizza recipes.
For Dough:
- 2 cups wheat flour
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup curd
- water (for kneading)
- for instant pizza sauce:
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- ¼ cup chilli sauce
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
For Toppings:
- onion
- capsicum
- tomato
- jalapeno
- olives
- sweet corn
- cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
How To Knead The Dough For Pizza:
- Firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 2 cups wheat flour, ¼ tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder and ½ tsp salt.
- Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
- Now add ¼ cup curd, 2 tbsp olive oil and water.
- Start to knead the dough adding water as required.
- Knead to a smooth and soft dough.
- Grease the dough with oil, cover and rest for 20 minutes.
How To Make Instant Pizza Sauce:
- Firstly, in a bowl take ½ cup tomato sauce, ¼ cup chilli sauce, 1 tsp chilli flakes abd 1 tsp mixed herbs.
- Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
- Instant pizza sauce is ready. keep aside.
How To Make Veg Pizza:
- After the dough has rested for 20 minutes, knead the dough slightly.
- Pinch a ball-sized dough and roll uniformly.
- Dust with wheat flour and roll gently.
- Roll to uniform thickness keeping slightly thick.
- Prick the roti using the fork. this prevents the pizza from puffing up.
- Cook the base on a hot pan until it is half cooked.
- Now flip over and spread the pizza sauce over it.
- Also, top with onion, capsicum, tomato, jalapeno, olives and sweet corn.
- Further top with cheese and more vegetables.
- Also, sprinkle chilli flakes and mixed herbs.
- Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until the base is cooked well.
- Finally, slice the wheat pizza and enjoy.
